Walt Disney World Dolphin In The Sky

I’m standing on the Boardwalk at Walt Disney World, looking across the lake at the Walt Disney World Dolphin resort. EPCOT is kind of to my back. See that bridge? When you take one of the Friendship boats to get to and from EPCOT from Swan and Dolphin hotels (aka, the “Swolphin”), the boat takes you under that bridge to bring you back and forth.

I though I had a pretty nice shot as it was, but then I realize that I could frame the shot using the arches in a gazebo/wedding pavilion that sits on the shore of the lake, just at the end of the Boardwalk. I think next time I go to Walt Disney World (in just 10 days – w00t!), I’m going to try this shot again, see if I can get more of the “frame” into it.

  1. This is a great shot of Disney world. You are right, the second shot is wonderful. Makes me wish I was there, and not getting (or supposed to be) getting ready for work.

  2. Your shots are great – both of them. It’s fun to be able to look and evaluate, and try again. Look forward to seeing what new shots you come up with in the process.

  3. I love the arched shot. The architecture in general is a great foreground for the sky.

  5. Probably wasn’t such a bad day to visit as sunshiny days can make it pretty tough at theme parks.

  21. Hi Tink,
Thanks for your visit and comment on my blog.
We visited Disney World a couple of years ago for a conference, but didn’t have time to go to the parks. We still had a wonderful time and hope to go back soon to do it up right!
