The cypress needles have been falling, and it is significantly cooler than it was last time I walked the Slough. Even the afternoon shadows are longer. Fall comes to Florida!

I love these trails through the swamp. This one reminds me of one in Columbia NC.

In a couple of weeks, I’ll be doing a boardwalk hike through the Corkscrew Swamp down in Collier County. I have never been there before but I have heard that there are REALLY old-growth cypress in there, giants! So I’m very much looking forward to it. Of course, I will share via the magic of photography
