OK Tink *~*~* -  where’d my little martian avatar go, how’d you get a cool avatar all of a sudden, and how do I get one too?

In the boiler room, there are avatar settings, and it’s either little monsters OR some other selection.  I selected to use avatars from Gravatar.com -  if you go there and sign up, you can upload an avatar for FREE, and then anywhere you go that uses a Gravatar, the one you uploaded will be used.

  1. What are some of the more interesting uses for excess seashells that have been collected – by you or others?

Well, I guess putting them into glass bowls/containers for display is sorta standard, but you want “interesting”. Ok, as you are probably aware, I am using some “rejects” to help with an erosion issue I have outside. When it rains, the water comes shooting off the crook of an “L” shape in the roof line and is making a hole in the ground from the force. So I put shells in the depression and the soil/sand is not being displaced any more. I’ve known other people who have used shells for this purpose.

Chris has a whole blog “Things Created By Me” which is primarily comprised of things for which she has used shells. Tootie is always picking up “craft” shells for Chris.

I’ve seen pics somewhere of people turning them into drawer pulls, affixing them to shower curtain hooks with glue. I’ve also seen real shells attached to pull chains for light fixtures – I think I saw this in a catalog. Oh, and I’ve seen air plants “growing” out of shells, which have had a magnet glued to them, so they stick to the refrigerator!

That’s the blog I was referring to. Tried to include it up there in the Reply but for some reason the html doesn’t want to show up, and there doesn’t appear to be a way to edit a nested comment!

I got kicked off Facebook! Apparently, they thought “Tink R Bell” was a fake name, and you’re not allowed to sign up for Facebook with a fake name. So they kicked me off. Can you imagine? I’m such a renegade, I got kicked off Facebook! bwahahahahahaha!

I have since discovered that one can sign up for Facebook with a non-person type of account, like if you have a business or a website. So I started one of those, but have not had any time to work on it, so it just sits there for now.

I searched under ‘Tink Bell’ and a whole list of them came up. I bet if I did a search on ‘Santa Claus’… a longer list will appear before me :P

  5. Tink, I have been having so much fun seeing all the pictures, first from my favorite vacation spot, Sanibel and now Disney.

I want to know if an adult can enjoy visiting all the Disney parks as an older adult (50 yrs lol) without riding the rides?

I have never been as a child and just do not know if I would get my money’s worth if I skipped all the rides.

So waiting on your opinion. Email me if you would like.

    Thanks for the great photos!!!!

  6. HI Tink….I know I don’t “know” you but I’ve read your blog all the way from the begining and I feel like I do. Anyway, I remembered the story of how you came to live in Florida I just wanted to tell you I was thinking of you today. I hope all of your NYC friends are safe and happy today.
