A SIGN that Disney thinks GREEN

This sign was captured at the Festival Center in Disney’s EPCOT theme park. The occasion was the 2009 Flower and Garden Festival. Jiminy Cricket encourages us all to behave as though every day was Earth Day. I’ve never been at Disney on Earth Day itself, but I hear The Mouse likes to celebrate – Jiminy looks like he’s having fun (he’s also looking pretty green), so clearly Mickey’s friends like to celebrate, too

Big brother is watching YOU, on Sanibel Island

I believe the reason for the video camera is that someone was murdered on this beach several years ago. The victim’s body was hidden underneath the boardwalk, and was not discovered until it became obvious that something was decomposing under there.
So, how’d you like to have THIS job? It’s a beach – a person assigned to monitor this camera stands an excellent chance of watching attractive people in swimwear strolling by all day. Unless, of course, you’re assigned the night shift – in which case, you will see mostly darkness and the occasional militant sheller, sneaking stealthily onto the beach when low tide happens in the middle of the night.

Disney helps teach financial literacy

With the help of Google, I’ve discovered that The Great Piggy Bank Adventure is a financial literacy program presented by Disney in partnership with T. Rowe Price. There’s an attraction at the Innoventions section of EPCOT, and there’s also an online game that kids can play. Check it out when you’ve got a few minutes, it’s fun!
