Fantasia at the Contemporary

It’s Wordless Wednesday
a little shop in the Contemporary Hotel
Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida

The monorail makes a loop between the the Magic Kingdom and three of Disney’s deluxe hotels. One of those hotels is The Contemporary, and the monorail drives right through the hotel. I took this photo in May 2008 while standing on the monorail platform; I’d just arrived to meet the family to have some dinner.

  1. Wow! I didn’t realize how huge the shop was until I took a second look. Great shot!

    Happy WW!

  2. Interesting how one’s perception works. I mostly noticed the circles and the balcony at first, only realizing it was a modernist “mickey” after reading your description 🙂

  3. Great shot of the Mickey doorway to the Fantasia Shop. Do you have one of the monorail inside the hotel? I’d love to visit there one day and see all the interesting things you’ve shared with us.
