Is that thing wild or is it Jerry’s? Ya, I’d let out a scream, too, if I ran into him!
It’s wild, and apparently a baby. They are arboreal, diurnal vegetarians, so presumably he doesn’t want me for dinner and would rather be up a tree sleeping at night.
*~*~*
I saw him or one like him at Jerry’s a couple of weeks ago. Ran right across the sidewalk in front of me.
His name is Fred. Fred D’Iguana.
At least he wasn’t in the lettuce when you found him!
Lucky! I have always wanted to see one of the ‘exotic’ (i.e. unwanted) sanibel iquanas! I’d like to see the monitor liz too, although I’d also like them off the island. But for sure, that would have scared the crunch out of me, too!
