The jacaranda is not a native of Florida, but close enough – it’s found in Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America and other subtropical and tropical regions of the world.
On the day I took these photos, I stood beneath the jacaranda breathing in the fragrance as blooms shook free in the breeze and rained down softly upon me. It was heaven!

What a grat shot! Looks like the building is growing from the lovely flowers, beeing a part of the flowers arrangement! I like that! 🙂

One of my favorite trees and a special treat for me to see. Thanks!
Beautifully taken! I am familiar with this jacaranda tree because when I winter in Arizona…they are in full bloom up and down the streets..the individual flowers are stunning..almost like an orchid but bigger!
Beautiful shot! Their groundskeepers do a wonderful job with the flowers & plants!
Hmmm. I love the smell of jacarandas. What a perfect spot where it is planted. We have them here too, but sometimes the fallen blooms could be slipery too. Great shot Tink!
I love this picture. In Pretoria, South Africa there are many streets lines with Jacarandas, causing a purple haze when they bloom. Everything would be covered with fallen blooms. It’s so beautiful. Pretoria is therefore known as the Jacaranda City.
What a beautiful shot….I LOVE walking into Epcot seeing and smelling these beautiful trees!
Wish I was there to smell them!
Lovely shot as always Tink!
