It rained in great, monsoon-like waves and. Noww it’s delightfully cool. Busy week ahead of me – gotta get a good night’s sleep. See ya real soon!
Thanks for everything, Mickey dude. You rock 🙂
I admit it – I’m monorail-obsessed. Standing beneath the jacaranda trees, breathing deeply of their final fragrant blooms before heading out of the park. I think I will go to Downtown Disney for dinner.
Granted, Cast Members probably take a lot of crap from Guests, but there are aspects of the job that just can’t be beat. Imagine getting paid to blow bubbles. Sweet!
STITCH! Look who I found riding around atop a remote-controlled monorail (he’s rubber-banded to it). The CMs seem To be having lots of fun with this simple but über playful concept of delivering stickers to guests. Loving it!
Random star shaped topiaries near the Camera Center in EPCOT
Great blue heron chillin’ by the lagoon near Odyssey. I am not sure why but he keeps holding his beak open. Maybe herons pant? Will have to look this up!
Passing from the Haitian garden into the Outpost as the Earth floats by.
You can smell this guy way before you get here. The scent reminds me of that old Strawberry Shortcake doll that was popular when I was a kid.
The sacred portal between this world and that of the spirits is adorned with… Cars? Well, alrighty, then!
Found a tub of lantana growing in Morocco (at least, I *think* it’s lantana). Constantly amazed at what a camera phone can do, given the right light conditions.
The instructions indicate that it is a lot easier to weave with a garden hose if it has first been softened. And how do you soften a garden hose? Leave it out in the sun for a few hours!
There are several fun displays that use ordinary objects in unique ways. I was admonished to get this dude’s name right when captioning the photo. So, everyone – meet Clay 🙂
Back in February, I walked through EPCOT with 2/3rds of the @badelves and we noted that the crepe myrtle trees all looked dead. They were positively bare, devoid of flowers, leaves, or twigs. Now look at them!
I think I need to be bad for lunch. After all, "French Women Don’t Get Fat" lol
What a sweet tableau, as seen from the bridge looking down into France. The fragrance of jasmine growing here is such a tease, coming and going with the breeze.
What body of water lies between the UK and France? Why it’s the English channel 🙂
It could be argued, especially if one is not a native English-speaker, that the singular of "leaves" should be "leave"… !!!
You probably can’t see them bobbing around on the lower left of the pool, but I can – look for a lugged sole, like a hiking boot or sneaker has. I took some video with my camera zoomed in – will find out tonight if that worked. In the meantime, if anyone can tell me the mystery of the shoes in EPCOT’s Canada pavilion, I’ll be your best friend.
I am headed to the falls to see if I can spot the mystery shoes bobbing around in the water. I still haven’t been told what the shoes signify or why they are there. Apparently, this is privileged information, disseminated only to those who have worked at EPCOT’s Canada pavilion. Let’s go look….
I hope you all appreciate this, cause its hot hot HOT standing in the sun waiting for the monorail to glide by ROFL 😉
I think I will take a stroll down the Rose Walk 🙂
Have yet to catch Characters In Flight while it is actually running.
Always loved the ballooning sequence over at Impressions de France.
And I love these dangly things in Living With The Land, which represent the seasons.
I will put ballooning on my bucket list!
I am so happy that Disney chose to feature old school Fantasia at the front entrance this year. These characters deserve the place of honor. Here’s a Mickey + Monorail shot. I’m off to find breakfast that won’t cause me too much caloric grief!
