Some beautiful views can be had along the Fort Myers riverfront. So glad I live here!

Lovely reflections in the Caloosahatchee River this time of evening 🙂
Fort Myers River District at Sunset
Spent ladies night cocktail hour at The Twisted Vine with local friends. Now walking around River District in fort Myers, enjoying Yet Another Sunset. Will I ever tire of this? Doubtful!
Live from the Fort Myers River District!
This epic view can be seen from the dock adjacent to the west of the Fort Myers Yacht Basin. Had a lovely “Ladies Night” at Twisted Vine Bistro with some friends, and took a stroll down to the river before departing for home. Beautiful views!
Today’s adventure: Cape Coral’s Four Mile Cove Eco park
I was in Cape Coral this morning, working on a photo project with a fellow nature geek. On the way over the Midpoint Bridge from Fort Myers, I decided it was high time I’d visited an attraction I’ve passed a dozen times but never stopped. Let’s go!
Slideshow: MORE from the Edison-Ford Winter Estates

Here are some more photos from our great ramble around the Edison-Ford Winter Estates here in Fort Myers, Southwest Florida. The place was lively with school tour groups, flowering trees and shrubs bursting into bloom, bees bumbling, water fowl foraging – and mangoes dropping out of the trees.
I like that you’re encouraged to walk on the lawns, and that it’s not that perfectly manicured golf course stuff. Loved the story of the Edison Botanic Research Co., which was formed because both Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone needed a domestic source of rubber. The location just can’t be beat – with the beautiful Caloosahatchee River spread before them, why would they want to spend their winters anywhere else? All in all, a splendid morning.
There’s a slide show below. If you want to read the detailed commentary that goes with each photo, CLICK HERE to visit the set on Flickr. Enjoy the photos 🙂
