How I solved the parking problem Loews Royal Pacific

I am attending a techie conference at Loews Royal Pacific but staying off-site. The first day, I had to practically sever a limb to liberate my car from the Royal Pacific parking lot. It occurred to me afterward that what I should do is use my Universal Orlando annual pass to park for free at Universa,l and then walk into the Royal Pacific from CityWalk. So that’s what I’ve been doing. Hey, even if I had to pay to park at Universal, it would still be less than parking at the Royal Pacific. Plus, I get to see how great CityWalk looks in the early morning when there’s hardly anyone around yet :). If you look closely at the left of the tower, you’ll see the waning moon.

Chilin’ on CityWalk

Chilin’ on CityWalk, originally uploaded by Erin *~*~*.

After my run through the Royal Pacific, the skies turned threatening. I went to Pastamore to grab a light dinner, watched It rain and Shazam’d some tunes while I dined at a table just inside the doorway. Felt good to cool off – had it been overcast, I would not have enjoyed that run in the humidity at all! Glad to have had the opportunity to run through a pretty place.

Yes, I’m still watching videos on CityWalk

Some of my intrepid readers know, but an equal or greater number do not know that my first college degree was in music performance and that I have a HUGE passion for pop music. Love discovering new acts and I keep fairly close tabs on the indie scene. So sitting here on CityWalk with a drink in my hand and a steady stream of tunes is actually my idea of fun πŸ™‚

My dinner, from Pastamore on CityWalk

Tuscan ham sandwich and "Roman Tea" – twist on the infamous Long Island Iced Tea. I think it’s gonna kick my butt….. Tunes and videos blasting from the big screen with music acts that are definitely kicking butt! I am in a certain kind of heaven here. Yeah. πŸ™‚

This would be a good place to sit and listen to tunes

There’s a big screen blaring videos across the way and lots of tables. Right now there are a bunch of business people doing a spontaneous hokey pokey nearby trying to compete on the decibel level… Yeah, this place is probably a bit wild at night!
