We’re on our way off-island now. Last stop, Dairy Queen!
Odometer reads precisely 49,000 miles! Departing Periwinkle Place
Ok, so it’s sorta abstract, but there it is!
One of my very favorite stores on Sanibel Island is Pandora’s box
… my bloggin’ Sanibuddy, SNOWBIRD!
Lovin’ the sunshine motif 😉
Love this one – peace, love and margaritas!
So true! After this store, we’ll catch some breakfast
We’ve checked ou and we are shopping! First stop – Winds
Yummy salad of fruits and vegetables topped with coconut shrimp – delicious!
We laid around slacking today – oh wait, we did that yesterday, too 😉 well, Sanibel is perfectly suited for this particular activity, so we’re in the right place. And now for lunch at the Over Easy…
Perhaps there is an entire Lego city burried beneath this pile of shells…
I will give you a hint – you can get a peanut butter and chocolate shake there!
By definition, it’s a good shelling day because mac and cheese was found 🙂 Again, all we’ve done is sit on the beach, read, talk and shell. Loving my summer vacation!
😉 We had a great day doing absolutely nothing productive. Got some shells, read books and just relaxed. Perfect day on Sanibel Island!
Any day you find "macaroni and cheese" shells is a good shelling day 🙂
Ah Sanibel! Gots Corona, a good book, and nice company 🙂
Part of the allure of this particular vacation is the "we’ve got no plans" aspect. So, The Child aka Niece No. 2 slumbers on while I sit on the porch and read the morning away, glancing up on occasion to gaze upon the tropical, tranquil beauty of the Gulf of Mexico.
So happy when I saw that Harry Potter was playing in Sanibel’s only movie theater! We stopped by and got our tickets this afternoon. w00t!
Scallops and artichokes with fettuccini – yum!
